Kio Rahi

Last term a variety of year 7 8 and 5’s went to play Kio rahi at Lindvart Park Kaikohe. The first team that we played was Kaikohe Intermediate. The ref said who are your guys captains. We got our captain and his name was Izaiah. The both captains played a game of rock paper scissor our opponents  captain one. They ether had the choice of being kiuma or taniwha. They chose taniwha. So they were blocking the drum in the middle while some of our team through the ball at the drum. The people outside of taniwha were running around touching pou and banking them. We finished the game and asked the ref for the score. She said we won by 1 point the score was 12 11. We did the same with all of the other games we played. I think I could do better at asking for the ball.
